RGI Cares
Members of RunnerGirlsIndia, just like many other runners out there, tend to replace their old running shoes after every 500 to 700 km with a new pair.

The question is what to do with the old pair that may not even show any visible wear and tear and could possibly be used by other less fortunate runners (who may be running barefoot) and others. We feel it's a waste to throw our old shoes out if they could be useful to someone else.

For this reason we have started the Recycled Runners Program, where we donate our old running shoes to an organization called ECHO and its innovative rehabilitative program -"Traffic Police Assistant Program". It is aimed at rehabilitating juvenile delinquents (children alleged to be in conflict with law) and neglected children into responsible members of society. For more information on ECHO, please visit: www.echoindia.org/tpap.htm.

If you want to donate your old running shoes to ECHO, just bring them along to our next GOR or contact Sindu Naik and show that RGI cares.
